S1:E24 The One Where the Greenie makes it to Week 2

Hey

I'm still living! We work our tails off and we are loving it. We knock doors every day and we are finding some success with that. On Saturday we found a really awesome family! They are the dream family and they want to learn sooo bad. So hopefully next week I have more information on that.

The training is going really good and we are learning a lot together. We wake up at 6:00 everyday come back and get ready, 2 hours of studying, 2 more hours of studying and then out on the street. We knock doors, look for inactive members and trying to help anyone at all times.

This week I got to go to Mexico City and hangout with the secretaries and the new missionaries to help them out. It was really fun. This next week I get to go on some divisions with other missionaries and also we have interviews with our president! We also have a lot of work to do. That is about it!

Love and miss you all.

S1:E23 The One With the Greenie

 Hey guys!

First week in training down! His name is Elder Sunburg and he is from Idaho. He is 20 years old and super awesome. We get along really well.

Honestly training is a lot of work. I am trying to be a good trainer so what we do is we wake up an hour earlier than the rest of the mission to get extra practices and to study more Spanish. Then in the day we work sooo hard, contact every person, knock every door, and walk faster than a mom in a supermarket.
As always go check out my website for pics and past letters.
See you guys next week,
Elder Draper

S1:E22 The One with the Last week with Elder Gonzalez and the New Trainer

Hey guys!

Don't have very much time to write but I have some news... I start training a greenie tomorrow, but let me go back a week.

On Tuesday last week we had our interviews with president. Just our normal interviews and I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. So we start the interview and we talk about all of my past companions and how he has seen a change for the better in the companions I have had. Then we talked about how I am doing. Then he said well Elder Draper, the lord has invested much in you and you have made him and me proud. So He has decided to invest a new missionary in you.

So starting tomorrow it will be me and my new companion. I don't know much about him, not even his name, but he is from the United States and I am one of three people in all of the mission chosen to train in the next cycle. Also the other two people training right now are past assistants to the president and some of the best missionaries that I know so it is a little stressful to have my son ( that's what we call the person who we are training in the mission) be compared to two of the best missionaries in the mission.
I'm sure I will have more to say next week but that's about it for this week. Our investigators are doing good and progressing. Check out my website for pictures and past emails! https://eldertaitdraper.blogspot.com/

Love and miss you all,
Elder Draper

S1:E21 The One With New Year's and My Birthday!!

Hey guys! It's been a good week. Like always we are working hard but having a good time. This week we had New Years and my Birthday!!! Big 19! Very eventull and exciting week.

New Years was kind of lame in the day because no one was out in the street but New Years Eve we ate turkey!!! Our landlords are rich and they love us so they invite us to do everything. So the night was really fun!
My Birthday was pretty awesome. The day was normal but around 7 we went to a little town and ate hamburgers and milkshakes. Then my comp surprised me and they bought a cake and fireworks. It was awesome!!!

This week I lived the dream. We walked past some kids playing street soccer and I went and started to play with them. The first thing they said was dannngg this white kid knows how to play soccer. It happens every time I play soccer here and it's awesome. Then we started teaching them as we play. One day I hope to have a movie about me...

We are starting to teach some families and it's really fun. I love teaching families. It's so much more rewarding. There are people here and ready to be taught. There are so many people here ready to be taught. It's so exciting to a missionary in this time in Mexico.

That's about it! miss you all and see you soon. 5 months down. Go check out my website if you missed anything.
