S1: E7 The One Where With the Three Amigos!

Hola!
I had a good week! I am now in a trio! My first trainer leaves to go home after this transfer so the mission president decided to give me my other trainer right now! His name is elder Barbosa( like from Pirates of the Caribbean) and he is from Brazil! He knows zero English and only some Spanish so it is kind of hard to communicate. My Spanish is coming along well! Learning lots!

Its my second week out here in the mission field and I love it here. The people are great! The food is great! I am great! This week we worked our butts off. normal day in the mission field looks like this.
 We wake up at 7
  •  work out and eat breakfast
  •  get ready for the day
  •  personal study
  •  companionship study
  •  language study
  •  and out the door by 10 or 11
  •  we walk a lot... Teach some lessons and contact every person we see
  •  liner ( lunch/dinner) at two-ish and then we work some more
  •  and then no more contacting after it gets dark outside and head in once we are done with all of our appointments
 It's great!

Weird but really good week! Hopefully we can get two people into the Waters of Baptism

Love and miss all of you guys!

S1:E6 The One Where I Smile and Wave

Hey I don't have a ton of time but what a crazy week!!! This week was mexico Independencia Dia so there have been parties everywhere! It has been a crazy day! P days are the best. First of all let me explain a few things.

I am in the Casasona area of Cuaultla, Mexico! I am in the hottest part of the mission and it is kind of a beast. I always sweat. My companion name is Elder Najera and he is from Puebla, Mexico. I really like him a lot and we have a lot in common. Its really fun here and different.

Mexico is a really weird place. My place looks really scary and there are a lot of different things to adjust to but I really like the life here. Go to my website and look at the pictures. I have pictures of me and my companion and with some of my district. We had a ward party and that was fun.

The food is amazing. They give you sooo much food here!!! I have never eaten so much food! Also all of the Mexican resturants are liars in america. Food is very good but nothing like i thought it would be. I have pasta and soups and chicken and beef. Its nothing like Mexican resturants I have had before.

Spanish is going really good and I am learning a ton!!! I think I will get the hang of it really fast honestly.

Alright - I have to go, but I love you all!!!

S1: E5 The One Where I Discovered Mexico Has Some Big Bugs.

Hey People of America! How is life treating you? If anyone wants to talk just send me a email and I will get back to you probably that week! Its been mostly a pretty normal week at the CCM (that's what they call the MTC in mexico) Nothing really happened in any of my classes this week. They are just trying to get us prepared for the field. 3 Days until I am out of here! I cant wait.

I got my travel plans this week! I leave Monday morning at 10. I think that my mission president is coming to pick us up! There is about 10-15 missionaries coming with me to my mission. But the best way to describe how happy I am is like its Christmas eve and I woke up in the middle of the night and saw Santa. I can not wait to get out there.

Ok back to the subject of the email... Wednesday night about 10:00 me and my roommates are just talking and down the hall we hear the girliest  scream and then a couple of other people say oh my gosh! So me and my roommates run down the hall way and we see this kid on the ground just sitting there with something in his hands with about 10 people around him in a circle. So I squeeze myself through the group of people and there is this giant ant that this kid is holding. Now this might sound like nothing but this ant was about the size of the palm of his hand... I am soo freaking done with mexico... turns out its called a Jerusalem cricket and has one of the most painful insect bites. Sooo yup. Mexico is a different kind of place.

This week I read all of the Pearl of Great Price and that thing is really cool! I really like science and math and that about all that Abraham is. Its amazing how advanced the knowledge that Abraham was given. If you know a lot about astronomy and physics and you read Abraham chapter 3 you will be like wow I thought that Steven hawking discovered this like 5 years ago. Turns out he probably just read some Abraham and took credit. Just another testimony of our church and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that there is no way that he could of wrote the things in the Book of Mormon and Pearl of Great Price.

Also the church is putting out Book of Mormon videos just like how they did the bible videos on the 15 of September. Everyone should go look at the trailer online! It gives me the chills every time I watch it.

That is about it this week! I am sure next week will be a little bit more of a crazy email but until then, love you all and hope you have a good week!
Shout out to one of my best friends Kevin. Love you man and hope this week gets better.

If you ever get behind on emails from me or want to see some pictures everything is on my website! Go check it out its pretty cool. (Thanks Pops for making that)
